Remember yesterday I said it was like deja-vu, almost everything did not change since I left three years ago? Yes, that's right! Including the stupidity of the HR, it never changed!!
Aku happy jugak laa bila keluar dari bilik meeting tu. Lepas meeting tu, aku lepak sampai kepam dengan member-member lama. Ramai jugak yang expressed their happiness kalau aku rejoin the company. Ada jugak yang confidently cakap "kau sure dapat punya..." macam diorang pulak MD. Ada jugak yang nampak aku tapi macam buat-buat tak nampak. Segan atau tak puas hati, I don't give a damn.
Ok, back to the kesengalan HR yang dari dulu tak berubah-ubah. Surprisingly, the guy yang aku akan (insyaallah) report kat dia tu, tak tanya banyak pun. He just go through CV aku, takde tanya dulu aku kat situ buat apa, macam mana prosesnya, etc. Yang banyak tanyanya this Haji HR.
In the first place, dah le tak greet aku good afternoon ke, tanya things like "are you coming all the way from JB ke?" and not even introduced themselves, nama pun tak sebut. Then he went straight to the point lah, asking why did I leave and want to rejoin. Aku memang dah prepared untuk soalan ni. So, conveniently aku stated my arguments lah.
Then he raised the issue of sensitivity among existing employees about the company hiring ex-employees. Dia tanya how should we handle that? Dalam hati, aku cakap "Well, itu bukan kerja HR ke?" and "If you couldn't handle it or the sensitivity is a big issue, why invite me for interview in the first place?"
Tapi, aku composed dan jawab jugaklah, among other things yang aku cakap, "People will complain in all situations, good or bad." Aku pun cakap yang dulu aku ada feel the same way, orang masuk gaji tinggi, yang kat dalam takde promotion/upgrading. Aku cakap kat dia, "Knowing that the situation and surrounding didn't help me much, I challenged myself to stop complaining and prove myself that I'm worthy of elsewhere. Then, if I ever want to come back or not, it's up to me." Another thing, aku blah dulu "in good terms and with proven track record."
Aku pun pelik laa benda ni jadi isu. Yang datang semalam saing dengan aku, ada laa dalam 4-5 orang external candidates. What's the difference between aku dengan the other candidates. We're all external people regardless you're ex-employee or not. Perception of existing employees, sama je, i.e. "orang luar baru masuk, gaji besar..." Kalau betul diorang tak nak that perception, tak payah sibuk advertized that position to public, cukup untuk internal advertizement je.
My conclusion, that "KESENGALAN" still has not changed.
Btw, got a first hand information - they're mixed reaction to yesterday's interview - good and bad. Anyway, I'm very happy.

biasa la tu deo.. maser i rejoin company pung ramai yg tak puas hati pasal company counter offer kan.. tapi dah rezeki masing2 belasah jer la.. buat pekak jerk..lamer2 hilang jugak bunyi2 langau tu.. HR cuma cakap "she deserves it" hahahha suka gue..
