Komen orang itu teguran Allah

"...Orang komen, orang kritik sebab dia sebenarnya minat kat kita, dia sayang, dia nak betulkan.

A reason, a season, or a lifetime...

taken from yuni.com

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or
a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you
will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON . . . It is
usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have
come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you
with guidance and support, to aid you physically,
emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a
godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason
you need them to be.

Then, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an
inconvenient time, this person will say or do something
to bring the relationship to an end.

Sometimes they die.
Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realise is that our need has been met, our
desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you
sent up has been answered. And now it is time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON . . .
Because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount
of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things
you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional
foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the
person, and put what you have learned to use in all
other relationships and areas of your life. It is said
that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

AJL27 prediction...

I didn't watch any of the three episodes of Muzik Muzik semifinals but got to know the 12 finalists from the internet. There are couple of songs that I've never heard of (sorry for my ignorance), but I can say that most of those qualified to the final have good (or above average) quality. Frankly, I've never heard (and don't know how the song sounds like) of Tanpamu and Lagu.

And most notably, we will see lots of newcomers or fresh faces in our entertainment industry, like Jimmy Palikat (one hit wonder, duh! and the song to me is more like BN-theme song as there is a video on youtube showing Najib Razak danced non-stop to the song in one hari raya function), then we have Amir Jahari (who the hell?!), Bed Room Sentuary (some parks or what?), RJ (Royal Jelly?), Mojo (frankly I was quiet disappointed after googling and saw the face of the vocalist! it doesn't commensurate to the 'jambu'ness of the tune of the song). The only old-timers we will spot in the final would be Azlan (& the Typewriter) and Amy Search.

These are the songs to be contested in the final, the AJL27:
Idola – Azlan & the Typewriter
Pelangi Senja – Stacy
Terukir Di Bintang – Yuna
Anak Kampung – Jimmy Palikat & One Nation Emcee
Ombak Rindu – Hafiz & Adira
Tanpamu – Amir Jahari
Lagu – Bed Room Sentuary
Teman Pengganti – Black & RJ
Ku Akui – Hafiz
Simetri – Hazama & Amy Seach
Andai Ku Bercinta Lagi – Mojo
Patah Seribu – Shila Amzah

Some of them have been my favorite local songs, namely Pelangi Senja, Ombak Rindu and Patah Seribu, which I think all three would be a chance to be one of the top-three winners. Others that may provide strong challenge probably Terukir di Bintang (it's more a laidback song but Yuna never did well in AJL - and I'm not a fan of Yuna, still remember her appearing in Fisherman's raincoat in one of the finals), Ku Akui (well, Hafiz always delivered but I think this has got to be the weakest songs from all his songs in any AJL finals), and Simetri for the prowess of the song but Amy sounds more like a back up singer here.

If I've got to choose one winner, I'd go with Pelangi Senja or Patah Seribu.

Ok ok... just one! I'd go with Pelangi Senja.

*Anugerah Juara Lagu 27 will be held on 6th January 2013

Ada Mu

Merenung ke luar jendela
Melihat kebesarannya
Mensyukuri segala nikmat
Yang dikurniakan di dunia

Kau berikan ku kekuatan
Tuk berpegang pada jalan
Walau penuh dengan cabaran
Ku tahu ku adaMu Tuhan

Kerna kau yang satu
Yang setia bersama ku
Dikala ku jatuh ku bangkit kernaMu
Ku tahu ku adaMu disisi ku selalu
Bantulah hambaMu mencari keredhaanMu

Ku tahu ku adaMu
Ku adaMu selalu

Kerna kau yang satu
Yang setia bersama ku
Dikala ku jatuh ku bangkit kernaMu
Ku tahu ku adaMu disisi ku selalu
Bantulah hambaMu mencari keredhaanMu

Ku tahu ku adaMu
Ku adaMu selalu

ku merenung ke luar jendela
Melihat kebesarannya
Walau penuh dengan cabaran
Ku tahu ku adaMu Tuhan

iamTired

I’m tired of being sad.
I’m tired of crying.
I’m tired of feeling empty inside.
I’m tired of feeling worthless.
I’m tired of feeling stuck.
I’m tired of feeling crazy.
I’m tired of being alone.
I’m tired of yelling.
I’m tired of pretending.
I’m tired of dreaming of a life I will never have.
I’m tired of missing things.
I’m tired of missing people.
I’m tired of remembering.
I’m tired of wishing I could start all over.
I’m tired of not being able to just let go.
I’m tired of faking it.
I’m tired of being different.
I’m tired of being angry.
I’m tired of needing help.
I’m tired of always wondering when I will finally let myself be happy.
Most of all, I’m just tired of being tired.

If I Die Before Tomorrow

by You Are Here Even Though You Are Gone

"If tomorrow starts without me,
and I'm not there to see,
if the sun should rise and find your eyes
all filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
the way you did today,
while thinking of the many things,
we didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me,as much as I love you,
and each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too.

But when tomorrow starts without me,
please try to understand,
that an angel came and called my name,
and took me by the hand,

And said my place was ready,
in heaven far above,
and that I'd have to leave behind
all those I dearly love.

But as I turned to walk away,
a tear fell from my eye,
for all my life, I'd always thought,
I didn't want to die.

I had so much to live for,
so much left yet to do,
it seemed almost impossible,
that I was leaving you.

I thought of all the yesterdays,
the good ones and the bad;
I thought of all that we shared,
and all the fun we had.

If I could relive yesterday,
just even for a while,
I'd say goodbye and kiss you
and maybe see you smile.

But then I fully realized,
that this could never be,
for emptiness and memories,
would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did,
my heart was filled with sorrow.

But when I walked through heaven's gates,
I felt so much at home,
when God looked down and smiled at me,
from His great golden throne,

He said, "This is eternity,
and all I've promised you."
Today your life on earth is past,
but here life starts anew.

I promise no tomorrow,
but today will always last,
and since each day is the same way,
there's no longing for the past.

You have been so faithful,
so trusting and so true,
though there were times you did some things,
you knew you shouldn't do.

But you have been forgiven,
and now at last you're free.
So won't you come and take my hand,
and share my life with me?

So when tomorrow starts without me,
don't think we're far apart,
for every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart "

Learning about anthropomorphic nouns

The English language has some wonderfully anthropomorphic collective nouns for the various groups of animals.

We are all familiar with a...

Herd of cows,
a Flock of chickens,
a School of fish
and a Gaggle of geese.

However, less widely known is:
a Pride of lions,
a Murder of crows (as well as their cousins the rooks wand ravens),
an Exaltation of doves

and, presumably because they look so wise: a Congress of owls.

Now please bear in mind that Baboons
are loud, potentially dangerous, obnoxious, viciously aggressive and the least intelligent of all primates. And take a guess as to what is the proper collective noun for a group of baboons?

Believe it or not … A Parliament!

A PARLIAMENT OF BABOONS!
I guess this somewhat explains the weird and sometimes unfathomable decisions that come out from Parliament…sometimes…

You just can’t make this stuff up.

45 Life Lessons

Written by Regina Brett, 90 years old of Cleveland , Ohio ..

"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I've ever written.

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry..

13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood.. But the second one is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will this matter?'

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.

35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere..

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

42. The best is yet to come...

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift."

Parting ways with Abu

If Abu is human, he would be in Form One and probably enrolled in any boarding school this year. After spending 13 years together, Abu and I parted ways last night. It was a sad moment but I believe we are on good terms although we would never see each other again. Earlier this year, I've replaced Abu's roof, cured the rusty spots on the its roof as well as makeover its whole body and repainted it.

13 years and some 266,000km ++ serving me, taking me to the northern most and southern most spots in the country, I couldn't thank Abu enough for its service. I wish you find a great master in the future and a more peaceful place to settled down into your retirement, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. To Abu, I will miss you forever...

Abu got its name after its 6-year mechanic, from the day it was born to the world...
