Forget the ViShit Malaysia Year 2007, especially when one minister after another (which includes the Prime Minister and his deputy) goes oversea for holiday.
Forget the promise that petrol and toll prices will not increase further this year as they'll go up again at the stroke of midnight on 1st January 2008.
Forget about flying cheap Jalur Gemilang donated by various corporations just because the leaders said, we show our patriotism by flying our flags but we still drive recklessly, cutting queues, or taking lots of time off during office hours to smoke, browsing the internet or even blogging.
Forget about a better government after the next election, as they'll do whatever it takes and in whatever way to win big in the next general election, leaving no room or representation for opposition parties to challenge them in Parliament or Zoo?
Forget about a better or more transparent way in awarding government contracts, as will see more and more leaking roofs in the government buildings. Oh, don't forget that they'll replace the Nuri choppers later and we shall see who's benefitting from it.
This year should be a big, meaningful year of PIG for every citizen of Malaysia including the one who's still studying in Taiwan. Yet, I'm losing hope of having anything great from the country. Anyway, there's a famous quote, "Don't ask what the country can do for you but ask what you can do to the country."
But, this give me some ray of hope...
My quote of the day or the week or the month or the year...
You may remember the R.A.H.M.A.N theory of Malaysia's Prime Minister. It was Rahman (Tunku Abdul), Abdul Razak, Hussein Onn, Mahathir, Abdullah and who would thought that the N belongs to Nazrin and not Najib?!
That could be the best Merdeka gift to all citizens.

Yeay, Nazrin for PM! I'd vote for him any day, a man with such eloquence and class.
