There is no war or coup taking place, no tsunami or typhoon or massive flood or earthquake or any natural disaster you could think of. But the picture looks like the country is under certain crisis, just like the Somalian queueing for food. Yes, it's Malaysia.
I don't know why after so long, the call from even the highest hierarchy of the Government - on sugar supplies - fall on deaf ears. Can't government give an ultimatum to the 'sugar king'? In the end, the Government has to resort to importing sugar. And even our military now have added job scope - to send sugar to remote areas where sugar suppliers refused to send the supply to.
What happen here? Even the sugar suppliers are not listening to the leaders' call. Kalau orang Melayu cakap, macam 'tong kosong'... cakap dan buat bising banyak-banyak tapi takde hasil. Macam tu lah agak nya kerajaan/pemimpin kita.

Even the importance of sugar and salt was emphasized in one of Allahyarham Tan Sri P. Ramlee when they were presented as birthday gifts - not sure what movie is that. And still the Government took so long to finally decide what to do. Wonder how would they manage the country if it's under a serious crisis, even no crisis also very porak-peranda! :-(
