You know when...

You know when you need a friend...

When you feel like the world is squeezing and crushing you. When nothing seems to go your way because of discrimination, jealousy, hatred, over expectation. With teary eyes, you wonder why all the hard lucks and unluckiness seem to be thwarting your path and happiness is a hard to come by. When you tell your friend the latest 'hard luck' been thrown to you.

But then, you know you could handle it all by yourself...

When all you get from your friend is, "be patience, God is trying on you and that this is a challenge which will grow you stronger."

And you try to handle it yourself...

When you 'disappear' from your normal world. When you restrict access to your blog. When you appear invisible in chat rooms where you and your friends hang out. When messages left unanswered. When you see your friends are online but you refuse to initiate a conversation. When you just don't care if it's only you to live in this world. When you don't need anybody else. You know you could handle it, yourself...

But, you know when you have a friend...

When you least expected and at unexpected hour, you receive a call from your friend (when you refused to answer at first - because you thought you could handle it yourself). When your friend asks your whereabout and wants to have a small chat over a cup of coffee. When all you could do is to repeat the same stories of your hard lucks. When all your friend could do is to keep on telling you to be patience (duhh!). And in the end, when you feel the sun starts to shine again, even in reality the sun has almost set.

If everyday is the Friendship Day, I'd dedicate 364 days to you and 1 day to the rest of my friends. You know who you are, my friend.
